Mrs Oldham treated us to another wonderful day of stories, art, imaginative play, discovery and lots of drama. The children entered in to the legendary world of the Taniwha and learned some new Maori vocabulary as well. They went looking for treasures from the land, the sky, the sea. They also created the most beautiful Taniwha using many traditional Maori patterns.

Assembly and GATE Music Group
Well done to Kayla and Agam for presenting our Junior school assembly. They were very confident and read their pieces very well. Tino Pai to both of them!
We are also very proud of Victoria and Eugene for their amazing work in learning to play three wonderful musical pieces as part of the instrumental group they are part of. They were so dedicated and happily practised during lunch times with Mis Lee. Congratulations and bravo on your excellent playing, Victoria and Eugene!

Being Prepared in an Emergency
Nikolai from St John Emergency Services gave us opportunities to think, talk and role play situations that would make us aware of how to respond in various emergencies. We worked in groups to decide on various scenarios and the response needed and we practised how to deal with people who had been hurt and how to call for help. Nikolai was very impressed with the sensible way we all worked on practicing the skills and going through the paces of a possible accident or emergency situation. Ka Pai, Room 5!
