Another Wonder-Filled Technology Day

Mrs Yates was in charge of Technology this time and she got us all thinking, looking, listening and wondering like scientists. We had some great hands-on experiences such as finding natural objects outdoors, observing these closely and also formulating our own questions.  One of the enjoyable experiments of the day was to see the chemical reaction caused by vinegar, water, red food colouring and bicarbonate of soda. Mrs Yates took us to the sandpit where she mounded some sand to form a scaled down version of a mountain. Into the bicarb mixture, she poured vinegar and behold - there was a mini volcanic eruption! It was a great day of learning together. We extend a big "Thank You" to Mrs Yu, Anna's mum, for supporting us all through the day and for supplying some of the photos!
