We have such a wonderful Buddy Class and Mrs Beukens always treats us to special activities when we visit Room 25. Today we so enjoyed making Halloween cards to take home for tomorrow. There was a large choice of coloured card and some templates we could use to make our cards.
Thank you, Ryder, for reading us the Matariki story called Tawhirimatea. You pronounce the Maori words so well! You have helped us a great deal to korero Maori this year.
We are really sorry to say "Goodbye" to our wonderful, kind, helpful learning assistant, Mrs Naicker! All through the year Mrs Naicker has worked closely with us, helping us in small groups with our reading, writing and mathematics. She has also helped to mark our handwriting and has done all kinds of things to help our classroom run well. We are going to miss her lovely smile and all her support. Fortunately she will be working with Mrs Morris and the new entrants so we will see her regularly! We made some cards for her and treated her to some special gifts.
We really enjoyed the way Amber used her voice to hook us into the lovely story she read. She read at a steady pace and used an exciting, louder voice so that we could all hear each word she was saying! Ka Pai, Amber!
What a great day of learning we had with Mr Rankin who turned us all into bakers and chefs!
