Trip to Butterfly Creek and Rocket Ropes

Even though the weather was a little blustery and overcast, our trip went ahead and we were so excited! Mrs O' Hanlon was there as our teacher and the lovely parents of Maddy, Ariel, Dia and Echeng came along as helpers. Many thanks to them for their help. We explored all the areas that Butterfly Creek has to offer. The farmyard with its sweet animals were a treat and opportunities to climb on farm equipment always attracts some of us budding farmers.

The Butterfly House, aquarium, dinosaur area, eels, playground and Scar the crocodile were all special areas of interest to us. After lunch it was our turn to take on the challenges that Rocket Ropes present and we were so eager to give the various challenges a go. However, big, black thunderclouds put pay to that! What a pity! Hopefully we get another opportunity to give that a go.

Whacky Hair and Hat Day

What a creative lot of parents we have in our class family! They all spent time delivering really eye-catching hairstyles for each of the children. Some children wore fabulous hats and wigs while others had such a variety of colourful, varied, spiky, plaited and decorated hairstyles. A work of heart!

Kelly Sports (Week Five and Six)

Hooray! We are so very lucky having Coach Cameron from Kelly Sports here every Monday for the next four weeks. He will be teaching us all kinds of movement skills and he will get us playing and having lots of fun with our classmates.

In our first lesson we learnt how to balance efficiently and we played games that got us balancing on one leg.

Our second lesson was all about running and how important our arms are in helping to propel us safely and speedily. We played team games and experimented with different styles of running. Then we played tag and a game where we ran to various coloured cones.
