Our Pledge

After visiting the Tread Lightly caravan, we talked about ways we could help to care for our environment. We spent time thinking about the one we most felt we could achieve and then we wrote our pledges. Here they are -

A Surprise Visit

Look who came to visit us? A special cat called Dana arrived this afternoon. She is a Sphynx breed of cat and that means she is a hairless cat. It was so fascinating to see her - she looks smaller but that's because fur would have made her look so much bigger. What a friendly cat she is - Cinny, her owner let us touch her and she was very happy to have us get close to her.

Making Lemonade

It was lots of fun making lemonade with our buddy class. Our tuakana made the cordial part using lemon juice, sugar and warm water. Once the sugar was dissolved, they shared it with us. We added water to taste and the lemonade was delicious!

The Tread Lightly Environmental Programme

 The lovely ladies at Tread Lightly were so informative and reminded us that each of us can make a big difference in caring for our beautiful environment.
