Jathin the Beyblade Champ

Jathin had some interesting things in his paper bag to show us and he also demonstrated his beyblade spinning skills. Thanks for giving us a lovely talk, Jathin.

Meeting Room 24, our Buddy Class

Yippee!! We have been looking forward to meeting our Buddy Class and it was wonderful to find out which special buddy each of us is having for the whole year! Our special buddy introduced themselves to us and together we enjoyed reading in the Hive. Each time we get together either in Mr Coombes' class, or ours, we'll have different activities to enjoy and we'll get to know each other well!  

Zoe and Reed - Paper bag Treats

We really enjoyed paper bag sharing time each afternoon and today it was Reed and Zoe's turn. They showed us photos of their families and those are particularly special. Thank you for bringing special things to share with us and for making your talk so engrossing, Reed and Zoe!   

Owen and Hunter's Surprises

Thanks to Owen and Hunter for choosing such fabulous items to demonstrate to our class. You made us all eager to discover your various items and it was great to hear the reason you chose to share each of those. Ka Pai, you two!  

Drama Day with Mrs Oldham

Thank you so much to Mrs Oldham for treating us to a great day of joyful learning as we delved into the story of Red Riding Hood and entered into our various roles. We always enjoy dressing up and using our imagination and creativity when Mrs Oldham gives us these wonderful opportunities. 

Stella's Turn to Shine

We were very interested in seeing and finding out about the lovely surprises that Stella had hidden in her bag. Thank you for choosing those and bringing them to share with us!

Chelsea Talks to Us

Amazing Oliver

Wow! Oliver brought some of his wonderful pieces of work to show us and he printed some photos of his favourite activities! We really enjoyed his presentation!

Our Room 5 Pets

We have fish as pets in our classroom! There are three golfish - the one with googly eyes is Goldie, Flash is the big orange one with a wavy tail and Patches is the one with orange patches. We also have a bristlenose fish called Dottie who is hard to spot since he lives in the black helmet and he is nocturnal. Only now and again do we spot him when he comes out of the helmet and sucks the outside of it. We enjoy feeding them and watching them as they swim around.

Our Wonderful Class

We are getting to know all the different children in our class and particularly enjoyed having a mufti day today. It has been a busy week with lots of activities and learning taking place too. Here we all are having our lunch picnic style because our tables were full of art work.

Paper Bag Sharing - Paridhi and Austin

After a lovely time playing on the playground at lunchtime we enjoyed having some ice-blocks! Then we sat back and were entertained by Austin and Paridhi who showed us what they had brought in their bags.

Kiara and Zoey were the first two children to share the contents of their bags. We really enjoyed seeing the items they had chosen to bring!

 

The Year of the Ox

2021 is the Chinese Year of the Ox so we made special lanterns in the form of an ox to take home. We enjoyed cutting, pasting and seeing these take shape!

Holiday Writing

Here we are doing our first piece of work in Room 5. We have chosen our own groups and are sitting with a friend we have chosen. Soon we will be sorting all the stationery in those yellow bags and then we'll be all ready to go!

 

Our First Day - 5th February 2021

As we shared our holiday news with our new classmates, we unrolled a ball of wool and passed it on to a friend. Each of us got to talk and hold the ball and in the end we had created a great big web which we all agreed were our "heartstrings". We are a family of classmates and we are sharing and caring, taking care to pass happiness around like heartstrings!
