Our Buddy Class

We met our Buddy class for the first time today! They are such nice Year 4 children from Room 31. Their teacher is Miss Kluit. Each of us have one or two buddies who will meet with us every Friday. We will do many different things together - exciting!

Koru Doodling

In preparation for our newest art work, we looked at koru patterns and how they feature in many Maori kowhaiwhai patterns. We used our whiteboards to play around with koru shapes and this is what our 'dodling' with koru patterns ended up as. Don't they look great?

Making Sandwiches

Yummy! Making a sandwich is so easy! Today we spread any of these toppings on our bread - butter, nutella or strawberry jam. Once we had all made our sandwiches we had a sandwich party on the bences outside our classroom.

Junior Assembly

It was Junior Assembly this morning and we were keen to share the house scene we had created. The houses were made of paper and the rest was done using pastel and dye. Tino Pai to Chris for presenting our item and to Olivia and Aiden who read their stories about the roles there are in families.

Wet days

Mother's Day

We will be wishing our very dear and special mums a happy Mother's Day on Sunday. They will enjoy opening their cards and reading the story we wrote about them.

Book Week Parade

Book Week has been lots of fun and we have enjoyed the various activities that took place. We had two authors visiting us, we have enjoyed daily stories, making bookmarks, deciding which book was the teacher's favourite, having a Miss Kluit visit us to read a book and there were playtime activies each day too! Today was the highlight! Everyone dressed up so beautifully and we enjoyed participating in the assembly where we paraded up on to the stage. We spent time doing some book related activities during the day.
