Tabloid Sports Time

After lunch all the Junior classes gathered on the field to play different sports. It was a lovely, sunny day! Our first sports ativity was with Mrs Naus and we used big balls to do relays. After that we played lots of other games and Ricco's mum helped us to go to each place. One of the activities was to fill a bucket with water. We had to use sponges to suck up water and then we squeezed the water into another bucket. We also did egg and spoon races and sack races. Some children were amazing at skipping with ropes but others kept tripping up. It was fun any way and everyone gave things a go even when it was tricky. When it was time to go home, we all were tired but happy.

Hooray! It's Junior Breakfast Today!

We all arrived at school dressed in our pyjamas and ready to make our own breakfast! We were excited and ready to get going so as soon as we placed our things on our placemats it was time to get started. Some children chose to eat their cereal first. There were Rice Bubbles or Corn Flakes and they tasted crunchy, sweet and delicious. Others decided to spread their toast with butter, jam or Marmite and they snacked happily on these.

Mrs Martin, our School Accounts Manager

Mrs Martin today and it was lovely to have her in our class. Many of the children hadn't yet met her. This may be because she works in a separate office so she isn't always seen when we go past the office. Mrs Martin was very happy to answer all our questions and she explained that her job is very interesting. She works with all the accounts that are paid to the school and she also pays for all the things that the school buys and for the people who come to do jobs at our school. She showed us some invoices like the one for toilet paper and another one for photocopying paper. Mrs Martin takes money to the bank in a special money bag. She also helps children when they come to the sick bay. When she left, Mrs Martin kindly gave us some books for our class library! Kia Ora, Mrs Martin!

An Interview with Mr Kirkham

Mr Kirkha

m accepted our invitation to visit Room 5 so that we could find out more about him. We had already prepared questions to ask him and he happily answered them. We have made a chart with all the questions and answers and they are up in our classroom. Mr Kirkham is a very interesting person and we are so lucky that he is the principal of our school.
