Swimming at Lagoon Pools in Panmure

We have been enjoying our swimming lessons and are all so quick to get undressed into our togs and then get dressed back again! We certainly are very independent. At our lessons we are in various groups and our swimming teachers keep us very busy throughout our lessons. Ka pai, Tamariki!`

Wacky Hair and Hat Day

Thank you, wonderful parents, for going to so much trouble to get your children all toffed up with their fancy hairstyles and hats! They looked amazing!

The Prime Minister's Visit

Mr Christopher Luxon visited our school today and after spending time at the Middle School assembly, he popped in to say a quick "Hello" to the Junior classes. Our class were so excited to see him pass by and then to have him arrive and see what we were doing. We were doing our writing but unfortunately Mr Luxon didn't have time to stop and read any of our stories. He was very impressed with us and told us his wife was also a teacher and he loved coming to our class.

Simple Machines

Lots of discovery, engineering, inventing and testing has gone on since we started our Inquiry Learning about Simple Machines! There are simple machines everywhere in our daily lives and it has been so much fun finding out more about them.

Cultural Dress Up Day

What an amazing Cultural Week it has been! Every day there have been amazing lunchtime activities around the school. The children had an opportunity to talk a little about their own culture in class as we 'visited' their country by video. On Friday the assembly was a wonderful celebration of cultures and all the children dressed in their most beautiful cultural outfits. Our class looked so bright and beautiful! What a wonderful way to share more about ourselves and to learn about others!
