James, Oria, Amber and Lennox Share Their Items

It was so interesting to see the special things that each of our children have brought to show us. We were keen to find out why they chose some of their specific items. Family photos were one of our favourite things to see.

Paper Bag Sharing - Shivansh and Emily

Shivansh showed us his nerf darts since he has two of them. He also shared his Lightning McQueen racing car and the Lego person he had built. Emily showed us three of her favourite toys. Well done for talking in a big voice when you told us about your special things, Emily and Shivansh.

Day Two

We are getting to know everyone in our class and just like the story of Jack's Talent, we are learning their names too. We have chosen our own groups and are enjoying working together.

Our First Day of School

Hooray! A warm welcome back to our newest Room 5 children and their lovely families. We settled in straight away and enjoyed listening to each other as we shared news of our holidays. As we took turns to talk we also held a ball of string and just look at the pattern we made!

Meet Mrs Shewring

Hello Everyone. Just a quick introduction from me. I have been fortunate to have worked at Point View for eleven amazing years! Each year is so exciting and I love seeing the precious children in my class flourish and grow. I live alone, having lost my beloved husband five years ago and keep very busy with all kinds of interests and voluntary activities. I enjoy travelling, cycling, yoga, gardening, sewing and teaching, of course. We have two amazing sons who are married with growing families. Our grandchildren are my pride and joy! Justin is three, Emily is ten months old and Olav is just two months old! Here are a few photos of my family, our garden and cycling.

Welcome to Room 5!

Hooray!! It is so exciting that we are starting school after such a long holiday! Last year most of the very special children who will be in Room 5 this year came to meet their new Year Two teacher. They only had a brief visit and the class was all packed up. When they arrive on Day One we'll notice how much they have grown over the holiday! It will be just wonderful getting to know each other and learning together!
