Holiday Writing

Here we are doing our first piece of work in Room 5. We have chosen our own groups and are sitting with a friend we have chosen. Soon we will be sorting all the stationery in those yellow bags and then we'll be all ready to go!

 

Our First Day - 5th February 2021

As we shared our holiday news with our new classmates, we unrolled a ball of wool and passed it on to a friend. Each of us got to talk and hold the ball and in the end we had created a great big web which we all agreed were our "heartstrings". We are a family of classmates and we are sharing and caring, taking care to pass happiness around like heartstrings!

Our Last Day of School

Sadly it is time to say "Goodbye" to our most special family of Room Fivers. We have had the most wonderful and memorable year learning and growing, caring and sharing together! May you all have a very happy holiday and best wishes to you all as you go to Year 3 in 2021!! 

Welcome, to our new Boys and Girls to Room 5

School was almost over and it was time for us to meet the new teacher and children who will be in Year 2 in 2021. We were excited to see who would be with us - some of the children were from the same class and others were from three other classes! Our teacher is called Mrs Shewring. She is really excited and happy to be our teacher next year.

Our Christmas Celebration Assembly

Room 5 and 6 performed the song "Sprinkle a Little Sunshine" together and they were marvellous, magnificent and magical! What a fabulous performance by everyone - you certainly spread a lot of sunshine in that hall today!

We also had lots of fun making decorations today and wearing our bright mufti clothes.

Our Final Junior Assembly

We enjoyed watching Sienna, Oria and Daniel perform in their GATE drama play today. It was the story of Little Red and they each played their parts superbly. Congratulations on a stellar performance to each of them!!

The Cross-Country Races

The cross country has finally arrived and for some of us it is something we look forward to after all the practising. For others the thought of having to run around the field twice is not that appealing! It was a perfect day to be competing in the cross country and all the support from our wonderful parents was really surprising. The cheering from fellow class mates, parents and friends made this event even more special and spurred everyone on. Congratulations to all the finalists and the top ten children. You are great athletes!
