Tabloid Sports

After our busy morning being fully involved in Junior Breakfast, we headed to the field where the teachers had set up different activities for us to participate in. We rotated around the field and gave everything a go. The awning that was in the centre of the field was a good place for us to have a rest and to drink some water. Whew! After so much energy being used up, we needed to take it easy back in class for the afternoon. See if you can see us doing games like Duck, Duck, Goose: hurdles: egg and spoon races: relays: water and sponge running and many others.

Our Junior Breakfast

What a beautiful day it was today! Everyone was up bright and early, ready to enjoy this exciting event. Junior Breakast means it is the one day each year where all the junioe school children arrive at 8:00am in their pyjamas. Not only do they need to show their independence, they need to manage themselves well. They need to prepare their own breakfast, wash their dishes, change into their day clothes and brush their hair and teeth. The teachers are awlways surprised at how capable the children are at doing all these things. Kap Pai, Everyone. Many thanks to Mrs Lo for being there to help with the breakfast and the tabloid sports. She also took all these wonderful photos!

Our Junior Assembly

In preparation for our assembly item which was all about being a Superhero, our class made a video and a special art work. In the video we talked with a partner, explaining the things we do that make us superheroes. Our art work was a self-portrait of ourselves dressed as a suoerhero and flying up over buildings in a city around sunset. We also decided to dress as superheoes with a cape and a mask. Zena and Kasper were introduced our item and they read so well!

Darshi reads to us

Darshi is in Year 5 and she came to read one of her amazing stories to our class. We invited her because this week we have been reading her poem about the sea. She wote it when she was six and in Room 5. She has always wanted to be an author when she grows up and we all agree that she will be an excellent author! Thank you for inspiring us, Darshi!

Music With Mrs Clark

On Thursdays we are so fortunate because we go to Junior Singing with Mrs Clark as well as to our own class music lesson. At Junior Singing the Year0, 1 and 2 children sing all kinds of songs together. Some of the songs are for when we have assemblies and the others are also so special. We tend to quietly sing those songs when we walk back to our classes afterwards. When we have our music lesson with Mrs Clark she teaches us many musical skills such as moving to the beat, playing different musical instruments, identifying tunes and many other activites which we really enjoy.
