Thank you, Cadon, for bringing your extra-special Lego boat to show us. We were so impressed to hear that you had built it yourself!! It certainly was an amazing achievement.
Michelle showed us her gorgeous toys - a wide-eyed Beany Boo Mouse and a little monkey which she was given when she was in hospital. Her third item was a ring she had woven from plastic strings - that must have been tricky to do!! Well done, Michelle.
Mrs Oldham came in today to teach us while Mrs Shewring did our maths assessments. After doing our reading, Mrs Oldham took us on a wonderful imaginary journey to Itching Down where the Giant Jam Sandwich happened. (The story is on our wiki - Online stories). We had so much fun choosing a character for ourselves and deciding where we lived in the town.
It was good to work together and plan ways to get rid of those pesky wasps and we loved being a part of the story!! Thank you, Mrs Oldham, for such a great day - we loved doing Drama!
When we arrived at school today a funny surprise awaited us. Our second Monarch caterpillar had turned into a chrysalis and he had decided that a good, safe place to attach himself would be the tap over hanging the sink! It is strange that he chose that spot but we're happy because we get a good view of his chrysalis. We still have two more caterpillars munching on leaves. Now we're wondering where they'll decide to turn themselves into chrysalis'!
Hooray!! We have such a lovely Buddy Class and today we got together with them for the first time. They are a Year Six class in Room 21. Mrs Galvin is their teacher and we so enjoyed being paired up and having time to talk. Our buddies came armed with some interesting books to read to us. Next Friday we will go down to their classroom and read one of our chosen books with them.
Lachlan explained the contents of his paper bag - his delightful BB-8 toy, a mouthguard for when he plays rugby and a great photo showing him playing with his loveable dog, Spud. We can see that he is a big fan of Star Wars!!
When Chloe showed us her collection we were also very interested to find out what she enjoys. She showed us a book she likes to write and draw in and one of her favourite toys. It is a rabbit made in Korea where she comes from. On the label it reads "Blue Rabbit" so that is his name! Her other prized possession is a transformer toy and she took great delight in demonstrating how it worked!
