Mrs Clark is such a talented, wonderful teacher and we all love having music lessons with her! Each week we are in for new a different musical experiences that involve playing, listening, moving and responding to music. Thank you to Mrs Clark for making music magical!!
Bzzzzz ... don't we all look so marvellous? We dressed in our casual clothing to celebrate bees in our world. Our beehives have once again yielded a harvest of honey and we are thrilled that Reed's family won a special bottle!
At the end of the day we all received a box of Lego donated by the Lego Foundation! How very lucky we are!!
Our wonderful buddies taught us how to play draughts today and soon we got the hang of how to play. We surprised ourselves by winning some of the games and really enjoyed learning these new skills!

We got together with our neighbours from Room 6 this morning to sing and celebrate our learning. Room 6 enjoyed reading us some of their stories and we showed them how to make our names appear like rainbows.
Mrs Clark always involves us in a variety of ways when we have lessons with her. We move, we play, we listen, we sing, we dance and we use a range of musical instruments. We have a wonderful time at Music!!
Our Junior Assembly was another celebration of the learning and the work all the children do in the junior school. Room 5 proudly presented their koru pattern artworks which were eye-catching, bold and beautiful! We were extremely proud of our amazing presenters, Kiara and Zoe as well as Jathin and Lienke. Jathin and Lienke recited their mihi so confidently and eloquently in Maori. Well done to everyone!! You are the most amazing class of artists and orators!!
What a happy surprise to have Mr Kirkham arrive, book in hand, to read us a story!! We chose the Maori legend "In the Beginning" as we are enjoying our Inquiry learning about the wonderful myths and legends handed down through the generations.
This is the blurb telling us about the legend -In the beginning Ranginui (the sky) and Papatūānuku (the earth) were joined together, and their children were born between them in darkness. The children decided to separate their parents, to allow light to come into the world. After this, the children became gods of various parts of the natural world.
