Buddy Time

Today we were treated to two plays that some children in Room 31 had prepared for us. These were "The Billy Goats Gruff" and "Little Red Riding Hood". The children made their own masks and they memorised all the words. We really enjoyed watching them.

Puppy Fun with Room 31

When we visited our buddies we had a puppy challenge! Along with our buddy, we chose a small toy puppy and then we set about making a home for them. We could use paper and pens to draw their homes or we could use Lego or wooden blocks. It brought us so much pleasure and together our creative ideas grew and grew!

Junior Assembly

Our koru art looked lovely as we proudly held them up on stage today. Ten everyone sang the Māori song "Tirama, tirama, nga whetu" so beautifully! Ka Pai, Room 5! Thanks to Milaan and Micaela for introducing our item too - well done!

Matariki String Games

We learned to make some string pictures with our buddy class and today as we prepare for the school holidays tomorrow, we practised our string patterns.

Another Wonderful STEM Day

We are so fortunate to have a STEM day with Mr Rankin every term! This time we had a woodworking project. Our aim was to make as many jenga blocks as we could so that we could play with them in our class. It was hard work learning to use a saw and then learning to sand each of the blocks to make them nice and smooth. Many thanks to our helpers - Nathan and Milaan's mums as well as Mrs Buchanan and Mrs Clark.
