Using a poi with Whae Pen

Whae Pen always makes learning a treat! She teaches us many new words and phrases in te reo Māori as well as waita, actions, games and activities. In our last two lessons we were learning the vocabulary for numbers (tau) and a poi song. It is easy learning a new language when it is so much fun!

Our Wooden Creations

After making more dominoes on our second STEM day, we began a new project. We made gorgeous nail art pieces by sawing, hammering, using sandpaper and loom bands. We were so proud of our amazing creations that we didn't want to leave them behind. I'm sure they are in pride of place on display at the children's homes!

Working with Wood!

This term our STEM learning is woodwork and Mr Rankin provided us a range of new experiences by challenging us to make as many wooden dominoes as we could. We needed to learn to use a saw and had to measure the size of each domino before cutting. Then we painted our domino black and will be using a drill to make star patterns on each domino. The photos show us in action.

Junior Assembly

Our bubble art looked so good when we presented them along with our slideshow showing lots of photos of our various Science experiments and investigations. Synova and Reyaan introduced our item so clearly too. Tino Pai, Everyone!
