Our 100 Day Celebration

We celebrated our 100th Day of school on Friday and had lots of fun making special crowns to wear. We also completed a dot-to-dot picture, wrote 100 words from memory and enjoyed biscuits that made the number 100.

                                     100 Days Of School
Last week was our 100th day of school.
The best part of school was doing sewing with Mr Rankin at Technology. Some other activities that we liked was going to Butterfly Creek. The butterflies were colourful, soft and pretty. I also enjoyed making Koru art.
I really enjoyed this year so far.

Woodwork - Making Dominoes!

                                        Wonderful Woodwork

Today we made dominoes and it wasn't easy. We used a dangerous tool that was a saw. I used it and then I started chopping the wood. Mr Rankin said that we need to wear goggles to protect our eyes. The goggles looked like glasses. We got buddies and my buddy was Sachi. He was faster than me at sawing but it was just my first time. We had to make five pieces of wood.

After that we went outside to use the tickle machine. I held the wood while Sachi was using the tickle machine.

Next we went to paint the wood block. Then we went back inside to use the nail file. Next we went to use the drill. Finally we were finished and I wish I can go back to Technology.

Our Watercare Lesson with Sally

                                   Watercare With Sally

My favourite part of the Waterwise talk was when were going through the brown pipe because I felt like I was in a real pipe that was connected to a lake. We also had to crawl under a table that was covered with a blue towel so it looked like a blue lake.

My second best part was when we had to be scientists and we had to guess if the water will be clean or dirty. We also had to guess if it was a good or a bad filter. I had a lovely lesson with Sally.
