Two Experiments

We are did the Gummy Bear test by placing Gummy Bear lollies into water, milk, vinegar, baking soda water, salt water and sugar water. Some of us hypothesised that the Gummy bears in milk will change colour and the bears in the vinegar will grow bigger. Some said the bear in water will stay the same. After leaving the lollies in the different liquids overnight we noticed many changes and discussed possible reasons for this. Our second experiment was to use place oil and water together again (we remembered that oil and water don't mix because oil is less dense than water. This experiment included baking soda and when we added it to the oil and vinegar, the baking soda sank to the bottom. Then we dropped vinegar, that we had coloured green, into the mixture. It also landed at the bottom of the container and this time, the vinegar reacted and caused bubbles.
