Twilight Market Treats

We were treated to a lovely surprise when a call from the office came through to invite us to choose a book or toy from the surplus left from our Twilight Market. It was a scurry here, a scratch there, a weighing up and some "umming" and "aaghhing" before finally a prize was found! Thank you for our special treasures!

Butterfly Update

We continue to have exciting stories unfolding in our new butterfly house! While one caterpillar has changed into a chrysalis, another four are chomping away growing larger each day.

Another of our butterflies hatched before school and treated us to a full flight demonstration before we gently lifted him up to an open window.

A Gnome called Jeff

Mr Rankin bought some Gnomes for the Hive and our class volunteered to paint one of them. Our painters came to add a layer of colour in the mornings and here is our final product - Jeff. He will be a bright addition to our gardens!

Wonderful Learning

The children in our class enjoy working with a chosen buddy especially on various maths, reading and inquiry activities. Here are a few of our busy boys and girls learning together.

Before school they enjoy construction games and this often calls for a team effort!

Our Bright, Bold Fish Art

These beautiful artworks depicting brightly coloured tropical fish are on show in the library.  Iris and Kayla have described their fish. Can you find which one they are telling us about?

Here  Comes My Goldfish  by Kayla

My  fish  is colourful and  it has pink, green,  gold and light green stripes.  l like my fish. My fish has  a wavy tail and it has a stripy body.  It also has gills that are golden. My fish  is big and round and it swims in the water. I love my beautiful fish.

Here Comes Our School of Fish! by Iris

Last Friday for art we made fish and it took two days. My fish has a sharp tail and it has dots on its body. It is red, light blue, purple, pink and green. My fish has no teeth. It has pretty patterns and it has yellow fins. My fish has cute eyes. I love my fish!

Happy Birthday, Mrs Kneale

Mrs Kneale is an amazing parent helper in Room Five. We are so thankful for the many, many things she does for us such as pasting our worksheets into books, mounting our art work and making and organising our resources! We gave her some gifts and a card to show our appreciation of all her kindness.

Little Dottie Joins Goldie and Flash

Mrs Cole very kindly offered to purchase a bristlenose catfish to join Goldie and Flash in their tank. Bristlenose catfish keep the glass and stones of fishtanks clean. We have named this tiny fish Dottie and we hope she is happy to be with her new goldfish friends.
