Grandparent's Day

We really enjoyed hosting our special Grandparents in Room 5! To welcome them, we sang a song and then we got busy on four different crafty and fun activities. Everyone got involved and it was lovely to see the children playing games and making things with their grandparent's help.  All the children whose grandparents were unable to attend were 'adopted' and they were a happy bunch. Our classroom activities were followed by the customary folk dancing out in the junior courtyard and with so many onlookers they felt very important!  After morning tea, it was a special treat attending and participating in the special assembly too.  It certainly was a very memorable day for all.
