Marvellous Museum Memories

The Auckland museum is always a fascinating place for a visit and it is filled to the brim with wonderful experiences, exhibits and enjoyable learning.  We explored as much as we could fit into the morning - the Maori marae and waka, the volcano display, dinosaurs, birds, the weird and wonderful discovery area, the butterfly displays, the spitfire plane which is part of the World War II section and a few brief stops in between.  After lunch we had two sessions with our educators who shared some insights about the Pacific Islands with us.  They kept us enthralled as they told us stories from the region - one was a myth and the other a legend.  Many, many thanks to Mrs Cole and to Iven, Anna and Constance's mums for so kindly accompanying us.  Our thanks to Jessie's grandad and Ejun's dad for their support too!
