Enviro Day Again - How Fantastic!

Mrs Hilder was so impressed with all the children in our class! She explained that they were wonderful at listening and working together. This is what she wrote about the special things the children learned - "In the first block we focused on Mystery Science - Are plants Alive? related to Living things. We did role-playing, movement games and then went outside with our magnifiers to see if we could observe any plants growing and moving...this was such a hit! After our morning learning about living things we discussed that our nature art needed to be made up of only dead plants (leaves or flowers)... no living things. The children soon realised this was the best season to do this art in because as we watched the golden, orange and red leaves blow off the Kowhai tree outside Room 17 they realised there were HUNDREDS of leaves to choose from. So we set off to collect their favourite leaves! We worked through the different steps together to create their final suncatcher art."
