Howick Historic Village

We stepped back in time today when we visited our own local history museum. Howick Historic Village is beautifully set out with many old buildings, pretty gardens, ponds, wells and even a stream. The lovely ladies who took care of us were all dressed in period clothing and they gave us a number of opportunities to learn about different aspects of the way children played and lived in the 1850s. That was 166 years ago!
